Meet Maleny (They/Them)
Pregnancy, birth, adoption, bereavement, surrogacy, and abortion are all sacred human experiences. As a non-binary intersectional feminist full-spectrum doula who reveres these life-changing transitions, I ensure individualized care to every person. I am a queer first-generation Mexican-American who strives to decolonize gestational work through practice. I do not see my work as helping clients, but instead, as a collaborative process working towards attunement with one's body, soul, and heart. I am proud to have received my full-circle doula training through Birth Advocacy Doula Training. I am also a placenta encapsulation specialist, Additional training I have taken are supporting survivors who birth, postpartum sacred sealing, and pregnancy and infant loss awareness advocacy (P.A.I.L). I offer compassionate support to individuals and families across Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
